Duty cycle

What SLI duty demands of a separator

The SLI series is our highest-volume automotive product: a 220 ±10 g/m²·mm density separator engineered for reliable cold-cranking performance and consistent behaviour on automated battery assembly lines.

Fine 0.5–2.0 μm glass microfibers give the sheet high porosity and strong wicking, holding electrolyte against stratification while resisting puncture from plate edges and lead particles.

01

Cold cranking

An engine start is a high-rate discharge from the first turn of the key. High-rate discharge performance keeps cranking voltage up in every season.

02

Years at high SoC

SLI batteries float near full charge for years. High porosity and strong wicking hold electrolyte against stratification the whole time.

03

Automated assembly

Enveloping and group assembly punish weak sheets. Puncture resistance protects against plate-edge and lead-particle shorts, at line speed.
